            2003--
ArabMedicare.com announces today the launching of a new initiative—Project
eHealth 2010…A Collaborative—that will “catalyze specific
actions for bringing together public and private sectors healthcare
players on a regional basis.  ArabMedicare.com
plans to accomplish this through the Collaborative by focusing on
            three key areas:

            Creation
of public awareness campaigns and programs to accelerate the rate of
adoption for using Internet technology for healthcare applications
            in the Arab World.

            Identify
best practices and strategies for promoting public trust and
            confidentiality within an ehealth environment.

            Actively
work to understand what the private and public sectors will need in
terms of legislation & public policy, infrastructure, and data
standardization within an Internet secure environment.

            According
to Mahatma Davis, Chief Executive Officer of ArabMedicare.com,”
there is a critical need to move healthcare into the information age
because of the fragmented way that
health information is now currently collected.
            It
is a vital necessity for the Arab region to move towards a more
flexible, technology based environment in order to make progress in
the reduction of medical errors and escalating costs which have been linked to
            manual-burden processes,” said Davis.

            Project
eHeatlh 2010 is furthermore being designed to serve as the main
point of reference for the Arab healthcare market to access ehealth
information and best practices strategies. Future plans also include
providing workshops, training programs, industry forums and
roundtables, conferences, as well as, the establishment of a
non-profit foundation based in the region to help stimulate and
support community-based initiatives that promote ehealth
            environments.

            Project
            eHealth 2010 is premised
on the vision that with a thoughtful, collaborative and focused
approach to ehealth technology, the region can succeed in achieving
sustainable results to improve healthcare by the year 2010 (a
            benchmark for setting future standards).
